However I have had to pay an extra £49 in handling and duties which should not have happened considering the item was marked as Gift and besides it is not new and therefore not subject to VAT.

The reason I was charged is because you have indicated a value of 32,000 Y on the package and the UK Customs will add a charge to anything above £135 (26,000 Y)

I would like to kindly ask that you refund me those £49.

For future reference, I would suggest you to always try to work out with the buyer to come to a mutual beneficial solution and then ask to withdraw the claim and try to make him believe that you will help the customer even after he/she withdraw it. I am satisfied with DUCAT jacket. Its sewing is very neat.
But sewing of REPSOL suits are rough. Are they sewed in different factory?
