I am a native English speaker and have been studying/speaking Japanese for about 14 years. I lived in Japan for 3 years from 2002-2005, travel to Japan about 5x/yr for my current job (in which I use Japanese daily), and I passed the JLPT 1kyuu (highest level) in 2005. I have a PhD in mechanical engineering so I am capable of performing technical translations. I love the Japanese language and view this translation service as a fun way to use my Japanese knowledge while making a little extra money.
