figure out なのですが、一般的に、理解するという意味で、主に計算に関連する時に使用されますので、ここでは、単なる計算(calculate)ではなく、あえて figure out を使ってみました。
ask に関してですが、ask for ですと、顧客に数字(パーセンテージ)を要求する、といった感じが強いと思い、パーセンテージに関する回答を求めているといった意味合いで ask about を使いました。
税関の検査機関ですが、検査は税関で行われますので、わざわざ、他の機関が関わって来るような誤解を作らないために、シンプルに the customs としました。が、たぶんそこは from an inspection agency at the customs でも良いかと思われます。
最後にパッキングに関してですが、これは意味合いが分かりにくかったのですが、packing だと荷造りという意味で、the はいらないと思います。もし小包 という意味でしたら、the package となると思います。

ありがとうございます。はい、私もそのように思いました。それでpacking を利用したのですが、packing は行為を表す言葉なので the はあまり使われないように思ったわけです。the を付けるように添削いただいたのですが、どうなのかな、、、と。英語に長く関わっておりますが、未だに、定冠詩、単数、複数の見極めに苦労し、過去に聞いたネイティブの言葉を思い出しながら、最後は勘に頼ったりしてしまいます。今後とも、ご指導、ご意見など、どうぞよろしくお願いいたします。
