4月8日、ホテルオークラ東京で、2月12 日に肺炎のため82歳で亡くなったPCO最大手コングレの代表取締役会長、隈﨑守臣氏の「お別れの会」が執り行なわれ、各界からおよそ500人が参列した。

隈﨑氏は銀行での勤務を経て1990年にコングレを設立。数々の医学会や国際会議等の運営を手掛け、業界最大手に育て上げた。また、1998年にはPCOや関連企業・団体で構成する業界団体、全国コンベンション運営事業者協議会（現日本コンベンション事業協会＝CPA） の設立に尽力、初代会長に就任した。

April 8, in the Hotel Okura Tokyo, "Farewell ceremony" of Mr. Kumazaki Moriomi was held and about 500 people of various fields attended it. Mr. Kumazaki was the chairman of PCO's largest Congre and died from pneumonia at the age of 82 on February 12.

Mr. Kumazaki worked for a bank and founded the Congre in 1990. Engaged in the management of some medical societies and international conferences, and made his company the biggest one in the business. Also in 1998, he helped the foundation of the National Convention Operating Company Council (Now it is Nippon Convention Agency = CPA), which is a business group consists of PCO, related companies and organizations, and he became the first president.
