ぜひ試してほしいと言われたのでやや難しい技術ドキュメントで試して見たら、テクにカールの面では十分に理解できたようだが、文法的な問題が点在しており、使い物になれる程度とは言えない。それでも購入を検討している。だめもとで、だけど。

As they solicited me to try it, I tried with a little complicated technical document. It seemed to understand the technical aspect but have some grammatical errors as well, so that it is not good enough for actual use. Nevertheless, I'm considering buying it, though I don't expect anything from it.

'recommended me to try it out' would be better, 'solicited' is when someone is constantly persuading you to do something.
