I am a native Spanish speaker from Venezuela with a Bachelor's Degree in Modern Languages. Before I grew up into a professional freelancer, I worked as an English teacher in a Venezuelan university. I've also worked as a Call Reviewer/Auditor for an American company.
I've also worked with Law Enforcement transcription and translation projects for Multilingual Connections, an agency in the Chicago area that provides translation, transcription, and multimedia localization services.
All my translations are manual, so I not only translate, but I also accommodate the translation to the target market and language; it is very important to deliver the right message with its cultural specifications.
In my opinion, a good translator should know when to be literal and when to adapt the content to fit the language and the culture of the target audience. My goal is to provide a new text that conveys the same ideas as the original, but that can also stand alongside it as an independent document of the same quality or better.
I commit to my projects with professionalism and punctuality. I give each assignment the necessary time to deliver a competent job.
