Owner of the Portuguese content quality and UI for the Expedia, Inc. websites, including trivago, Hotels.com, Egencia and Traveldoo. I was responsible for the localization, content adaptation, QA and testing of Expedia, Inc. websites and mobile apps, liaising with in-country stakeholders to elaborate dedicated marketing campaigns tailored to local customers, contributing to a steady 50% YoY revenue growth in the Portuguese points of sale.

On the technical side, I’ve designed and implemented various localization processes for Expedia, Inc. worldwide, including:

• QA solutions – Architecting a custom QA tool from scratch to fulfill the complex needs of Expedia quality managers and project managers.
• Workflows – Deployment of standard and advanced TMS workflows, automating project creation and delivery of localized assets.
• TM optimization – Consolidated legacy Translation Memories and increased overall leverage by ~ 25%. Estimated savings of $50k/year across 36 locales.
• MT implementation – Participated in the proof of concept, initial tests, deployment and monitoring of a Machine Translation solution within the company.
