I am a Japanese translator passionate about conveying the author's intent and tone of voice into natural English sentences. I have a very good understanding of the cultural nuances and lingustical shades of grey in the Japanese language, gained from years of living in Japan and intense study. I mainly work with creative texts but am comfortable researching unfamiliar topics and producing a high quality product, no matter the subject matter.

I have experience freelance interpreting in the entertainment industry in Tokyo and across Japan, as well as translating a popular online manga series which received a monthly readership of 50k people.
