In addition to the famous Nikko Toshogu Shrine, there are many other historical World Heritage sites here in Nikko.

The World Heritage site that represents Japan.
This is where the first general of the Tokugawa shogunate, Tokugawa Ieyasu, is enshrined.
There are 8 national treasures, 34 important culture assets, and all together 55 buildings within the grounds. All of them are extremely gorgeous and luxurious.
The building is decorated beautifully with lacquer and brilliant colors. There are also many engravings by famous artisans.

Nikko has 48 waterfalls, a considerably large number of waterfalls.
Kegon Falls is the most famous waterfall among them all.
The fall drops 97 meters. You can enjoy a grand sight and the gorgeous beauty created by nature.
Near the falls, there is an observatory platform allowing visitors to see the basin of falls from the close location

EDO WONDERLAND Nikko Edomura
A cultural park that visitors can feel and experience the culture of the Edo period.
The old architectures and towns including the village of ninja and samurai residences are recreated with reality.
You should not miss the thrilling ninja show and the elegant oiran show. 
Try to wear the outfits of ninja, samurai or princess.
