不良品に対する返信のメールですので、言葉の表現には細心の注意を払う必要があります。特に最後の行の intentionを”意図的に”と表現されておりますが、これですと相手に損害を与えるためにこの物品を取られたという解釈をされる恐れがあります。適切な単語を使うことをお勧めします。

認識していなかった、などが宜しいかと

「We could not acknowledge this failure」などでしょうか？原文の日本語に「意図的ではない」と記載されていたので「this failure is not anything of our intentions」としてみましたが、やはりintentionは使わないほうがよろしいですか。

物品に欠陥があることを認識していなかった、という表現とすると、i didn't recognised there was failure in the product.
