My name is Tessa. I am a native English speaker and speak Japanese fluently as a second language. I have studied and spoken Japanese for 15 years including graduating from the Japanese Language Institute of Sapporo with a Certificate of Completion of Advanced Level Japanese Study. I now teach Japanese as a Second Language and have provided interpreting and translation services at events, at hospitals, and in school emails for students whose parents do not read Japanese. I am presently studying for the JLPT N1 while taking an online Japanese as a Second Language teacher training course (in Japanese).

テッサと申します。英語の母語話者で、第二言語として日本語も流暢に話せます。１５年間も日本語を勉強しており、札幌国際日本語学院の卒業生で、上級レベルの日本語を習得したことを証明する修了証書を取得致しました。現在では、外国語として日本語を推しております。様々なイベントと病院での通訳、そして日本語が不得意な保護者のために学校からのEメールの翻訳の経験も重ねて参りました。日本語能力試験N１級の勉強と同時に、日本語教師養成通信講座を（日本語で）受講しております。
