Thank you for the news. But now I am worried a little bit. Hopefully the parcel has been insured at full value?
Unfortunately, customs usually open the package with a 'gift' labeling & suspicious declared value. In that case I can only hope to receive a request to declare actual value. Because I have heard stories when parcel simply vanishes somewhere in custom house, because you have no proof that there was expensive item inside. So, I think, it is better to declare full price when sending an expensive lens to EU.
I really hope to receive the lens. I was ready to pay all taxes anyway.

お知らせありがとうございます。でもちょっと心配です。小包の保険は全額がかけられているといいのですが。
残念なことに、税関は「ギフト」とラベルが張ってあったり、申告金額が怪しいと思われるパッケージは通常開封してしまいます。その場合、適正価格を申告するように要請を受けるだけで済むよう祈るばかりです。何故なら聴いた話では小包が税関館内で単純に行方不明になったり、中に高価なものが含まれていたかどうかを証明するものがないからです。よってEUへ高価なレンズを送る際は正確な金額で申告したほうがいいと思うのです。レンズを無事受け取れるといいなと心から願っています。どの道税金は全額支払うつもりでいたのですから。
