1962年に京橋〜芝浦の間で完成したのをかわきりに、64年に行われる東京オリンピックにあわせて羽田空港まで完成させた。新幹線もオリンピック開催10日前の10月1日に開業。どちらも戦後からの復興の象徴になった。その現在の高速道路を夜撮影をした。肉眼で見るよりフィルムを通して見る方が格段に美しく子どもの頃に見たSFマンガが現実になったと感じる。

Beginning with that the highway line was completed from Kyobashi to Shibaura in 1962, it had extended to Haneda Airport for the Tokyo Olympic in 1964. Also the expressway line started on October 1st that year, 10 days before the Olympic was held as well. Both of them became the symbol of the restoration from the World War II.
I took the photo of the current highway. Looking at it through the film is much more beautiful than directly, which reminds me of the SF comic I read in my childhood to be realized.
