小学生のセリフに使います。

日本では5月5日は男の子の日です。
この日の前後には男の子の成長を願っていろいろな行事をします。
その一つにこい登りがあります。
こい登りは、鯉が滝を登ると竜になるという中国の伝説から、
健康に育ち出世をしてほしいという意味があります。
また、神様に男の子が生まれたので守ってくださいと
伝える意味があります。
この習慣は江戸時代からと言われているので
だいたい18世紀頃からと思います。


期間は地域によって異なっていて
5月5日までの数日間の人もいれば
4月～5月の間ずっと出してる人もいます。

The 5th of May is Boy's Day in Japan.
Around this time various things are done to pray for the growth of boys.
One of these things is flying koi carp flags.
Because there is an old Chinese legend that says that a koi carp will become a dragon if it can swim up a waterfall,
flying koi carp flags carries the meaning of asking for a healthy childhood and success out in the world.
It also has the meaning of taking a message to the gods: This boy was born, so please protect him.
It is said that this custom comes from the Edo period,
so it is from around the 18th century.


The date differs from region to region,
but there are some people who take part for several days until the 5th of May.
So some people hang their flags for a good while during April and May.
