My name is Omid and I am a professional translator, interpreter and localizer of software and videogames. I have always been fascinated with languages and when I meet people from different cultures I always try to speak his or her language. Since I was a kid, I have always been told that I have a gift for languages; maybe it has to do with the fact of being a Persian born and raised in Barcelona. Thus, Spanish and Catalan are my native languages and Farsi my mother tongue. I have learned English at grade school and French later on in high school. By the time I started my translation studies, I was able to express myself fluently in five languages. During my studies of Translation and Interpreting in 2012 at University Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, I deeply improved my knowledge of French and English and I specialized in technical and scientific translation, interpreting (simultaneous and conference), audiovisual translation (subtitling and dubbing) and localization. At that time, I discovered that my passion: translating videogames.
