The item was carefully inspected before it was shipped to you, and such crack was not noted. We can only assume that this is a small hairline crack that may have expanded when exposed to low temperatures such as those in the Cargo area of transport planes. We can definitely replace the item, but you will have to return this piece to us first ideally by post. We will then send you a fresh item at no cost to you.
Alternatively since it is clearly a factory imperfection in the manufacturing process, you may be able to address you inquiry locally through customer services in Japan at customer-services@jp.lladro.com or by phone at 3 32930809 and it may be possible for them under the Lladro Assurance Program guarantee to replace or exchange the item for a new one locally.
