I went to post office again to make a damage claim and once again they tell me the only way to make a damage claim is on the USPS website! They do not take claims in person

But they also told me that the website if ONLY for shipments starting in the US with a U S insurance and tracking number.

They say for shipments starting in Japan, that you must make the damage claim through the company who took the shipment and provided the insurance

I still went on the website to make a claim, and they are right: It doesn't not go through (see link to U S damage claim web page and copy of error below)

Taiwan image recognition startup Viscovery nets $5M in funding

Viscovery, a Singapore- and Taipei-based startup that provides image recognition software for mobile apps, announced today it has closed a US$5 million series A round. The company refuses to publicly disclose its investors, but co-founder Connie Huang tells Tech in Asia that they hail from Taiwan, mainland China, and the US.

They’ll then see Taaze’s product description, and perhaps an option to buy the title.

Viscovery also provides its clients with analytics. It monetizes by charging clients for the number of images they store in the cloud, which Viscovery powers with AWS, and by taking commissions on purchases.

Mobile ad spending to hit $100B in 2016 and become the biggest digital ad market

Mobile ad spending is on a tear. It will top $100 billion in 2016 and account for more than 50 percent of all digital ads for the first time, according to market researcher eMarketer.

More than $101.37 billion will be spent on ads served in 2016 to mobile phones and tablets worldwide. That’s a 400 percent increase from 2013. From 2016 to 2019, mobile ads will nearly double again, rising to $195.55 billion. That figure will account for 70.1 percent of all digital advertising as well as more than one-quarter of total media ad spending worldwide.
