I received the lens today and was very happy with quick delivery but the lens is faulty.
The information on screen permanently says focal length 18mm, even when fully zoomed out at 9mm. I am unable to achieve maximum aperture f/4.0. Maximum aperture I am able to achieve at all times is f/5.6 only.
As you can see in the photograph, lens is fully zoomed out at 9mm, but top right of LCD indicates 18mm with maximum achievable aperture f/5.6 as indicated bottom left of LCD.
I spoke to Olympus Singapore hotline and they advised to take in it for assessment as they suspect it is a hardware problem.
