静岡市は、12月19日、東京・千代田区の都市センターホテルで「第１回静岡市交流会in東京～シズオカ・ナイト～」を開催した。
都内での交流会開催は初めてのこと。首都圏在住の同市出身者をはじめ、行政、経済関係者ら約330人が集まり、地酒と地元食材が振る舞われた。
交流会開催の目的について、田辺信宏 静岡市長は挨拶のなかで出身者間のきずなを強めるとともに、人脈を生かした同市の情報発信力強化を図ることとし、「静岡市を、出会いのプロデューサーに」と力強いメッセージをおくった。

On December 19, the city of Shizuoka held the first Shizuoka Exchange Meeting “Shizuoka Night” in Tokyo.
This was the first time the exchange meeting was held in Tokyo. About 330 people, including those who are from Shizuoka and now live in the Tokyo metropolitan area and those from the government and economy sectors, gathered and enjoyed local wines and local foods.

In Decenber 19th 2012, Shizuoka city council held "1st Shizuoka Intercommunion event in Tokyo -Shizuoka Night-" at City Center Hotel in Chiyoda Tokyo.
