ちょっとビックリなニュースです。今年、私は検察審査制度の候補者に選ばれたらしい。検察審査会制度とは、検察官が被疑者を起訴しなかったことがよかったのかどうかを選挙権を有する国民の中からくじで選ばれた11人の検察審査員が審査する制度。選ばれる確率は、約1万4000人に1人（0.007%）なのだそうです。辞退できるのは、国家公務員や教育関係者、７０歳以上の高齢者だけなのだとか。裁判所への呼び出しが、夏休みに重ならないことを願うばかりです。どうせ当たるなら宝くじに当たりたかったなぁ。
Here is a little surprising news. This year, it looks like I have been selected as a candidate for the prosecutor review committee. It is a system where the 11 members, selected randomly from the public, deliberate whether it was justified that a prosecutor did not prosecute the accused. I hear the probability of being selected is one out of 14000, or 0.007%. Apparently, only federal workers, educational staff and senior citizens above 70 years old. I only hope that the court does not call us during the summer holiday season. If I was being chosen for anything, I wish I was chosen for a lottery....
