Hello, I purchased the item noted below from you on April 25, 2015 via Amazon. Recently, the cover over the lens does not operate correctly and does not open, or opens only slightly so there is a thin, slanted, partial view. I was told this was a really good camera with a great warranty which is why I am contacting you. This should not be happening to a camera at this price range in less than a year. Please advise what you are able to do for me. Time is a consideration as I am going on an international trip in February with the intent of bringing a good, fully operational camera.

Your claim is not unreasonable. These scratches on the lens are not the kind that would come up in such a short term like during transportation. This camera has been gradually damaged while it's been used for a long time, and the damage became this terrible as a result of the cumulative effect. In other words, these scratches on the lens were already there when this camera was in your hands.
If you insist that these scratches were made during transportation, you need to prove it. In any case, the camera I received was in a different condition from your explanation, and I believe this deal is not fair.
