Northern Island has always been spilt between Protsetants, who favour union with Britain, and Catholics. who mostly favour joining the Republic of Ireland.
This Protestant-Catholic divide can also been seen in Scotland's biggest city, Glasgow.
England is officially a Chiristian, Protestant Church of England country, but most people aren't religious at all.
At the same time, in recent years there's been a growing Muslim population with its own traditions and culture, often very different from those of a liberal, non-religious country like England.
Welsh, but this an officially bilingual country: abaut 21% of the population speaks came alive again.
