1994年イチローは210本安打を放ち当時の日本プロ野球記録を樹立しましした。
1999年まで数々の偉業を成し遂げ2000年に日本人の野手として初めてメジャーリーガーになりました。
日本人がメジャーで活躍できるわけないと最初は否定的な意見が多かったですが、結果としてその年に新人王を獲得しました。
そして2016年メジャーリーグの最多安打記録を更新し世界記録としてギネス記録に認定されました。

2017年に44歳になる今シーズンも現役として活躍しています。

In 1994 Ichiro made a safe hit of 210 and established a record in Japan's baseball.
He accomplished great things frequently until 1999, and in 2000 became the first Japanese in the Major League as a fielder.
Many shared the opinion that a Japanese couldn't perform in the Major League but he showed the result becoming the rookie-of-the-year that same year.
Then he was acknowledged by Guinness record with the renewal of the safest hit record of the Major League in 2016.

He is 44 years old this year and is active in the current season.
