Why do think Nirvana became so huge when they first came out onto the music world back in the 90's? Because they were so many 80's cock rock and thrash bands trying to out do each other the common rocker got sick of it. Nirvana was a breath of needed fresh air, which forced the metal scene to change and diversify.
