Every agreement relating to any of the transferred properties to which the Government was a party immediately before the appointed day, whether or not of such nature that the rights and liabilities thereunder could be assigned, shall have effect as from that day as if —
(a)
the Authority had been a party to such an agreement; and
(b)
for any reference to the Government there were substituted in respect of anything to be done on or after the appointed day a reference to the Authority.

指定日の直前まで政府が当事者であった、移転された財産に関する契約は全て、その契約に基づく権利と責任が移転不可の性質であったか否かにかかわらず、以下に該当する場合はその日から発効するものとする：
(a)　
その機関がその契約の当事者であった場合；及び
(b)
指定日以降になされるべき事項に関してその機関が政府を代行する旨の言及があった場合。
