しかしレースになると神経が研ぎ澄まされ、大胆なコース取りを行い、前方を走る選手を追い抜いていく。
そのことから他のメンバーからも高い実力を評価されている。

中学時代は野球部に所属していたが、怪我のため退部。
その後荒れていたが、福富と出会いロードバイクに乗り新たな道を進む。
このことから他の部員以上に福富の事を尊敬している。
