誰かにやれと言われたわけではないが、自分の中で何かがはじけたように突然私は全速力で突っ走り始めた。毎日塾の夏期講習に通って、朝から塾が閉まるまで夏休みの宿題を何度も何度も解いた。それまでの夏休みの宿題は、夏休みが終わる直前に答えを写してぎりぎりに提出していた。しかし今回は宿題の冊子に答えを書きこまず、何度もコピーを取って同じページを完璧になるまで繰り返した。私のそれまでの中学校での勉強の成績は良くもなく悪くもなく、勉強を頑張ったという記憶はない。
It's not like I was told by someone to do it. It's like something inside me burst open and I suddenly started running with full speed. Going to short summer course classes everyday, from morning till the end of the classes, I solved my summer vacation homework questions many times. Up until then, I barely submitted the summer vacation homework just before the end of summer vacation, by copying the answers. However, this time, without filling in the answers in the homework notebook, I kept copying and repeating the same page till it was perfect. My middle school results up until then were neither good not bad. and I don't remember having studied hard.
