神は、打ち壊す権威と、建て直す権威を持っている。これは単に南王国ユダに関してだけではない。神はやがてこの世界全体に対しても、その権威を行使されるであろう。
この世界は、神の手の中にある陶器である。神はやがてそれを打ち壊し、その後それを再建される。やがてこの世は終わりとなり、次の世――来たるべき新天新地が始まる。
